Firefighters have rescued a family that was trapped under a 3ft x 6ft ladder after a blaze broke out at a South Hillsboro grocery store.
The Hillsboro Police Department said at around 8.30am Friday that they had heard a loud pop and the building began to catch on fire.
A Hillsboro Fire Department spokesman said the man trapped inside the store, a 32-year-old man, was forced into the ladder but could not be rescued, he said.

A Hillsboro Fire Department spokesman said that two Hillsboro police officers were able to assist in the rescue.
He said that when two Hillsboro firefighters arrived at the home, the man told them that he was trapped and that he was too weak to jump over the ladder.
A Hillsboro police officer attempted to grab hold of a ladder and a police rescue team was then dispatched to the home.

The Hillsboro Fire Department said it was on the scene within three minutes of arriving.
One firefighter told CBS13: 'He was trapped under a 3ft x 6ft ladder. It was really dangerous.'
It took fire crews 10 hours to defeat the blaze and rescue efforts were slow and erratic. They had to use rescue teams to reach the family.
